Mikey Wild, Singer/Songwriter, has been a longstanding figure in Bermuda's music scene for over two decades. Through the years Mikey Wild has opened for many International acts, from the likes of the late Gregory Isacc, Ziggy Marley, Barrington Levy, Red Fox, Screechie Don, Admiral Bailey, Yellowman, Admiral Tibet, Ninja man, Frankie Paul, The Wailers, The Skatalites, TLC, Naughty by Nature, Busta Rhymes, Snow, Shaggy, Luciano, Mikey General, Gyptian...the list goes on and on.
Mikey Wild has been influenced by many genres of music; his Reggae Roots go back to the days of the early eighties, when he attended Whitney Institute. He pays respects to Daddy Runskie, Sleepy Don, Danger Don, The Caisey Family and all who inspired him, including the Nuclear Weapon Sound System and Spanish Town Sound System where he would perform live when they played. Mikey also helped put together the Bermuda Reggae sound system "Starlight" alongside, Martin Desilva, Martin "Squinty"Morris and Ricky Pereira. In the Nineties Mikey Wild appeared in World Reggae Report as an up and coming artist on the rise. Mikey also worked with legendary old school Hip Hop Artist and producer MC Shan in New York who produced reggae artist Snows Hit Single "Informer". Mikey Wild's music has been played on radio stations in Bermuda, Europe, the Caribbean and throughout the United States.
In Bermuda Mikey has had the pleasure to work on songs in the studio with, Daddy Runskie, the Ivibes and Ricky Pacheco. In 2008 Mikey Wild went to Miami and recorded a single called "Life Story" produced by former member of the reggae band "Third World" Leroy Romans. The single made it into the top ten on the American Billboards hot singles chart in July that year.
Now based in Miami, Mikey is working on producing an album for the near future, with independent producers in Miami.
